Polycards: Shapes of the Fourth Dimension Collector Cards
Here is something that I'm offering for sale for anyone interested in 4-D shapes or anyone that wants to contribute to this site: collector cards of the uniform (and later scaliform) polychora. I currently have four sets available with 36 cards each, they are similar to the polycards on my website but they are in 'phase 2' which also includes long names, conjugates, and Coxeter-Dynken diagram(s) if possible. Some even have reverts or duals mentioned. These 4"x6" cards have a glossy sheen and feel like plastic, shoot you could even play games with them if you come up with a fun game concept. They are currently around $40 per set plus shipping and a lot lower if bought in bulk, now I just need a store or vendor to sell them there - so if anyone knows of a company that they can contact - pass this info along. Above is the back of the cards and a link to the two sets. Below is a flyer I made, the scanned cards in the flyer don't even do them justice, for the actual cards have crisper graphics. The cards are printed at Makeplayingcards a company that can print all sorts of game cards, they also have a sister site that does jigsaw puzzles - something that got me thinking of ideas. I will add sets 5 and 6 later this year and hope to continue until all of the uniform and many scaliforms are done. I also hope to make polytwister cards, polyteron cards, uniform polyhedron cards, and even jigsaw puzzles. So who's with me on this project, lets turn this to an epic phenomenon - hahahahaha! If Elon Musk or another wealthy person/company is reading this - help me get these selling in stores - my current income is tiny.
A booklet also comes with the card sets that shows what everything is on the cards along with which cards are in the set. Below are graphics of the front of the booklet (more like a folded sheet of paper) and the backs of both sets. Note: the set 1 back has a typo on it in the card set - an extra doho photobombs the text - the pic on this webpage is fixed.
History of the polycards:
Late October, 2022 - designing the back.
November 9, 2022 - phase 2 cards of set 1 done.
November 18, 2022 - designed 'shapes' font for back.
December 4, 2022 - started booklet design.
December 8, 2022 - created set 1 on makeplayingcards and ordered a set.
December 28, 2022 - got set 1 in.
January 29, 2023 - ordered set 2.
February 3, 2023 - sets 1 and 2 online, polycards store active, mentioned it on Polytope Discord and Facebook a few days later.
February 9, 2023 - got my first sale - set 1, and as of June 2023, the only sale and earned over $7 - need more sales!!!.
February 14, 2023 - set 2 came in.
June 15, 2023 - finally announced on website.
November 7, 2023 - designed a flyer.
February 28, 2024 - added set 3 and 4 to store.
May 9, 2024 - got my 13th sale, my first $100 earned from polycards.
